It’s an absolute privilege to be given an opportunity to serve as Linking Hearts Ambassador. Advocating for an end to violence against women has been something that I have always been passionate about and creating awareness among men in the wider community. Being a father of two daughters living in Western Sydney, witnessing over the years a rise in violence against women, the voice inside me said it is time to act now.

I recognise the importance of men taking responsibility and being part of the solution to end the violence, abuse and inequality faced by women across Australia. As an active member of the Punjabi Indian Community practicing the Sikh Faith, I look forward to engaging with other men, to highlight the issue and ensure more men understand the issue, and take responsibility for putting an end to men’s violence against women and promoting respectful relationships.
